Curriculum
Curriculum
Classical, liberal, and broad
St Philip's boys enjoy a broad and engaging curriculum that is classical , liberal, and suitably challenging. Strong emphasis is placed on the building blocks of literacy and numeracy and the ability to think critically and clearly. Above all, we work to capitalise on the boys' natural enthusiasms and curiosity, and to provide them with the fundamentals of sound academic enquiry.

The curriculum incorporates all subjects required to Common Entrance and Scholarship level: English, Mathematics, Science, Latin, French, History, Geography and Religious Studies. We also give boys an opportunity to study Greek.

A 13+ school with an excellent track record
We prepare all our boys for the demands of the Year 6 pre-test - taken aged 10 or 11 - as a conduit to transfer at 13+.
